A MIXED CATCH Crocodile in Fishing Nets.

Malacca, Nov. 17.
A Chinese fishing
junk made successful hauls to-day at Sungei Rambei when catches included six
large stinging rays, one kretang weighing almost 160 catties and an
eighteen-foot crocodile. A bullockcart which was engaged to convey the kretang
to market where it fetched $14, attracted a lot of attention going through the
streets.
The crocodile
first fetched $6 and on resale realised $30. The fishermen experienced great
difficulty in securing and landing these monsters.
1930年，英文报报道，有华人渔船一艘在双溪南眉河捕获一只近160斤重的龙趸鱼，还有一只18英尺长的鳄鱼，遂用牛车载到某间巴刹（哪里？），引起村民注意。龙趸鱼卖了$14，而鳄鱼最后卖了$30。
